What is Microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent brow tattoo, using the delicate process of hand drawing small tattoo strokes to mimic natural hairs. The results leave you with defined or natural brows to enhance your unique face shape.
We achieve your desired look by implanting colour/micro-pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of a tiny, sterile, disposable needle.
What are Combo Brows?
Blade & Shade’ is the combination of microblading and microshading. First the foundation of the shape will be done with microblading to give the natural appearance of hairs. Second, the shading is applied by the use of a tattoo machine to gentle shade in a sheered out pigment (same colour used for microblading) to give depth and fullness in between the hair strokes. This is great for people wanting a more filled in appearance or for those who need to seamlessly blend areas that have no hair with areas that do. This technique is best for dry/normal/combo skin types.
What are Powder Brows?
Powder Brows is a technique achieved using a tattoo machine by fully shading the brows with the beginning of the brow faded into a soft ombre. This technique is perfect for those who want a brow with more definition or want a more “put together” brow. The result is to look like you have filled in your brows with powder. This technique is great for all skin types however, is the best option if you have oily skin.
What Is The Healing Process?
The full, deep healing process takes 6-8 weeks; however, your visible top layers of skin will heal after 2 weeks. Your brows will experience a few normal mild side effects (slight redness, itchiness and peeling), which clients compare to the feeling of a sunburn.
Expect your tattoo to appear darker for the first 3-5 days. After day 4 or 5, light peeling will occur, revealing lighter and softer hair strokes.
Can I Have The Procedure While being Pregnant Or Breastfeeding?
Will Microblading Be Painful?
To ensure maximum comfort during the procedure we use a topical numbing with 5% lidocaine prior and during your procedure. Since pain tolerance and sensitivity varies individually, we can’t say exactly how it will feel for you. The procedure uses a smaller needle than traditional tattooing and should hurt significantly less. Clients have related the procedure with eyebrow threading, plucking multiple hairs at once or a light scratching of the skin.
You may experience more sensitivity if the procedure is performed during or near your menstrual cycle.
How Long Will The Final Results Last?
Your brow tattoo will last 1-3 years depending on lifestyle, sun exposure and skin type. Oilier skin types tend to fade quicker than drier skin types.
